I'm Keri Witman, the founder of NYC Women in Publishing. I started this networking group to ensure I never again lost touch with the fabulous, inspiring women I've worked with in the past. With the long hours and energy we dedicate to being successful in our publishing careers, it is all too easy to forget to devote time to building, expanding and fostering our network of professionals across the industry. That is why I founded NYC Women in Publishing. Starting from an email list of only 30 women, the group has grown to nearly 1,400 members in the NYC area. NYC Women in Publishing's mission is to provide opportunities for women in the NYC area in the publishing industry to connect both virtually and live through networking happy hours and a LinkedIn group.
